The major redevelopment of Blackfriars Station includes a new ticket hall and new platforms extending right across Blackfriars Bridge.
I recently photographed the new ticket hall for the tube station to illustrate the contemporary stone facade and the restored stonework on the bridge abutments for the stonework contractor PAYE. Jacobs Architecture designed the new station.
